It all starts on a trail
We are Axelle and Guillaume, the founders of Wise.
We met in 2015 on a trail in New Caledonia (where we lived, Guillaume was born there)
The trail is life!
Since then, we have never left each other and have travelled thousands of kilometres together on the trails.
For us, the trail is a founding pillar of our balance.
The pot of roses
With nearly 6 pairs of shoes each per year and 80% of our wardrobe being trail clothes, we realise in 2019 that we would like to equip ourselves more responsibly.
No matter how hard we look, there is no such thing as a technical and eco-responsible outfit!
So let's get started!
The big jump!
In September 2019, spurred on by a dose of madness and recklessness, we're quitting our jobs and heading back to France to create the trail outfit of our dreams!
It was a bit of a crazy adventure, because we knew nothing about the world of product development, we had never done any marketing or accounting.
In short, the only thing we know is what we want to do!
The team is growing
In the meantime, the team is growing. Our little Leonard didn't want to miss the beginning of the adventure.
It was, and still is, an incredible challenge to run our entrepreneurial and parental adventure simultaneously.
The toughest ultras
Because in this adventure, we had to overcome a lot of difficulties: a Covid at the launch, a workshop that crashed, a first collection that didn't conform...
But as in trail running, the steeper the hill, the better the view!
Meetings
In this adventure, we have also been very lucky to cross paths with exceptional people like Dawa Sherpa, or to get the support of 167 fabulous runners during our first Ulule campaign.
You cannot imagine how grateful we are for this support!
AN INCREDIBLE TEAM
After 2 years of existence, Wise is now a small team of 7 enthusiasts.
With this team, we have created products that are eco-responsible, technical and innovative!
